5 Romantic Spring Getaways

Aah, spring!  A particularly romantic time of the year. With the clear blue skies and seasonal burst of color, spring can surely put you in the mood for romance.

Whether you’re sneaking away for the weekend or planning a much needed R & R with a special someone, I’ve rounded up a list of 5 romantic getaways for lovers to enjoy this spring.

1. Savannah

With tree-lined and cobblestone streets, this oldest city in Georgia is oozing with romance, history and Southern charm.  Take a carriage ride with your sweetheart and discover the city while being lad by beautiful horses, as if you’re in a romantic movie.  Explore the city even more by riding one of the riverboat cruises while enjoying a romantic night out filled with good food, entertainment and a beautiful backdrop.  Savannah is the perfect destination for couples who want a cozy and dreamy romantic trip.

2. Sedona

Spring is an ideal time to visit the Arizona desert and this city offers couples tons of things to experience together.  Because of the city’s location and dry climate, Sedona is the prime spot for a night of stargazing!  Join one of the tours where you can experience an incredible evening of stargazing guided by professional astronomers.  During the day, you and your partner can hop on a Hot Air Balloon and glide over the beauty of Verde Valley or Red Rock Country.

3. Hot Springs

Have a relaxing spa escape in this Arkansas town with your significant other and fill up your itinerary with a dip in the hot springs, thermal baths and couple’s massages.  Head to the Garvan Woodland Gardens’ Tulip Extravaganza between March and April to see the beautiful display of over 150, 000 Dutch tulips and azaleas in full bloom.

4. Napa Valley

Experience Napa in full bloom when you visit during spring when everything’s green and the weather is mild.  With its scenic coastal views and abundance of wineries, Napa Valley is one of the most romantic places in California or should I say, in America.  It’s a great getaway for wine and nature-loving couples.  But the place isn’t just about wine tours – you can also sign up for  cooking & wine classes and/or take a romantic hot air balloon ride and enjoy the stunning Napa Valley views.

5. Miami

For couples who want a tropical getaway, Miami is ranked as the third most romantic city in America.  Here, couples can enjoy long walks at the beach, soft breezes, gorgeous sunset views and a variety of exciting activities – beaches, cruises, outdoor fun, nightlife and shopping.  Go to Sunset Lounge at Mondrian where you can lounge with your special someone while soaking up the best view of the sunset over Miami’s downtown skyline.
